Artists in Exile was produced and directed by Austin Forbord and Shelley Trott of Rapt Productions and also features Bay Area dance artists Anna Halprin, Tumbleweed, Mangrove, Dance Brigade/Wallflower Order, Margaret Jenkins, Joe Goode, and ODC Dance.

The Sternberg Project is a brand new site-specific dance film by Zena Bibler/Little Dances Everywhere that is an interactive, crowd-sourced, multi-media time capsule of the park made up of video submissions filmed by the community at the park this summer.

Celebrating its 12th year, the NEWPORT BEACH FILM FESTIVAL is open for submissions from innovative filmmakers and artists from around the world, who specialize in the exploration of body, dance, and movement through the medium of film and video. All movement-based genres are accepted, such as videodance, animation and documentary.
Selected films will be showcased in a special program focused on dance and will also be eligible for Jury, Audience, and Festival Awards. Please take advantage of this grand opportunity to screen your work in front of thousands of film fans and industry professionals!
The Festival will be running from April 28 to May 5, 2011 and screened in Newport Beach, CA.

For the past 10 years, the flame haired artist La Ribot has toured the world with performances that straddle the world of dance, visual arts and performance. La Ribot’s humorous and provocative performances
make use of the body’s endless expressive possibilities – political,
neutral, minimalist, simple, complex, sexual. In between performances at
the Tate Modern in London, La Ribot talks candidly about her working
methods and of her passion for dance and art. Peter’s film captures La
Ribot’s highly individualistic personality and is an intimate portrait
of one of the most vibrant and important artists of recent years.

Assistant director for various films, artistic director at the UNHCR
visitor centre in Geneva, producer of a video installation at the
Galeries Lafayettes and cameraman for German Swiss Broadcasting Service
(SF DRS). 1995 Founded the Belle Journée association for producing and
directing his own films. Since 2001 associated with Intermezzo Films SA.
