These are  some notes about two important topics that I have been receiving a lot of questions recently.

I want to clarify:

-You may customize your email notifications. 
dance-tech.net platform  allowes you to  decided what can of emails or communication would you like to receive. It is easy: go to you profile page (My Page and Stuff), settings, e-mail and then click or unclick your desired functions.

-Donation system:

Since last September we rolled out  a voluntary donation system integrated with the site logging system.

The system is set to ask you for a donation every time that you want to log in and may select what you do.

IMPORTANT: IF YOU DONATE 0.00 IT ALLOWS YOU TO GO IN anyway.!

IF YOU DONATE ANY AMOUNT  IT WON'T ASK YOU AGAIN AFTER  30 DAYS.

PLEASE READ THE PROMPT SCREEN.

I suggest 4.95 $ per month  but you can donate any amount!

Important for automated monthly donors:

For members that kindly have set up a monthly donation before this systems was installed, you may continue that way and always disregard the prompt,  or cancel your monthly donation in your PayPal account and make the desired donation every month when you are promted.

We are working to set up  an automated monthly payment system.

• embedded_vlogger: social media production from within venues, conferences and Festivals: combining "embedded journalism" with digital storytelling, social media technologies and methods, I travels the world visiting festivals and producing news flows, interviews and views  from the "inside" of festivals and art hub using all the dance-tech platforms and meta-networks.

This is an important change because is an step that will guarantee that we can keep dance-tech.net and .TV FREE and be able to cover the costs of labor, the technological platforms and the production.

We have always been a donation based network but now we have reached a critical mass to really leverage the potential of sustainable collective generosity of our international community.

The systems are in place to automate the process and make it seamless within the platform.

dance-tech.net has always been a free access network since its creation in 2007. I want to keep its access free and for that I need your help...

I believe that we have reached a critical mass with more than 5000 members to really leverage the potential of collective generosity of our international community to make this project sustainable... and to further develop it.

The dance-tech project, as I like to call it, comprises two websites ( dance-tech.net and dance-tech.tv),  the dance-tech interviews (more than 400), curated video collections of complete works, online educational events (meta-academy@), app development and online/offline artistic residencies.

All instances are geared to create and develop an exciting and inspiring international community focused on the investigation of embodied knowledge, interdisciplinary performance and emergent hybrid arts practices.

I believe that we, as a "crowd",  can instantiate strategies to support and develop these projects. More than 5000 members may gently enable this project to keep going with a "road map" that we can envision together. My main goal is to keep its access for and add free.
