Hi, all!
A colleague is looking for a male dancer for a very interesting project involving wearable sensors and spoken word. The performer's actions will be used to trigger spoken words inspired by the short experimental film "The Perfect Human" made in 1967 by Jørgen Leth. The movement can be improvised and will involve a performance at LEMUR, NYC later this month. See below for more information /project description and contact Hannah Perner-Wilson directly at hannah@plusea.at if you're interested.
cheers,
~Josephine
PROJECT:
During a March residency at Lemur in Brooklyn, Mika and Hannah we will develop a custom sensor suit made out of soft fabric pressure sensors that are attached to the suit where the wearer's joints bend. By capturing the pressure applied to the sensors we are able to estimate the angles of the joints, tracking the performer's
poses, gestures and motion. The performer's actions will be used to trigger spoken words inspired by the short experimental film "The Perfect Human" made in 1967 by Jørgen Leth.
