Hi,

I am currently doing my Masters at Laban in Choreography and am interested in finding a sonic artist/programmer interested in working with me to investigate movement and interactive sound, how real-time movement can create a sonic environment and how i can investigate the physical/virtual relationship of the sonic and the phsycial space.

My research is at its early stages but is an investigation through the use of digital media and movement how the physical and the virtual inform one another: the liminal spaces between these places and where or what this boundary is: between the physical and the virtual, the human and the non-human, and how this may reconfigure our embodied experience. I have already begun a couple of experiments looking at touch creating sound (via programming of interactive dance mats) but these projects are on hold due to collaborator moving away.

I am ideally therefore looking for a sonic artist/programmer who would like to collaborate on research for this year (and then after who knows?!) I have a performance-in-progress at the end of March and then my research will continue and develop to create a performance in july, therefore because of the nature of the work i am looking for someone who is potentially interested and available for this period and someone for whom it is also perhaps part of their research or experiments/discoveries so working within a collaboration would suit them.

If you think you may be interested then please do get back to me: mccutcheon.as@gmail.com and we can see if this may become a collaboration!

Thanks

Ariana
