I am a retired engineer and for more than 15 years I have been researching the origins of a remarkable traditional dance from the North of England. My evidence has been presented in the magazine "Archaeology Ireland" . Reconstructions can be seen on youtube (search "wyresdale 3 kick"). I am a bagpiper and involved in Central French folk dance.
