Brighid Greene, a native to the golden state, ventured east to pursue a BFA in Dance and a double major in Religious Studies at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where she graduated as a recipient of the J.S. Seidman Award and performed original works by Patricia Hoffbauer and Lucinda Childs. Currently, she dances for Ardent August and KatieRose McLaughlin, dances and choreographs for the RedCurrant Collective, and serves on the Dance/NYC Junior Committee. She has performed in the Wave Rising Series, Performa 11, Past/Forward and Szene Salzburg in Austria and has presented work at DanceNOW[NYC] RAW Festival and the La Mama Moves! Dance Festival. Brighid is thrilled to be working in the dance film genre as Outreach Coordinator at DFA and simultaneously works as a dancer and choreographer on various film projects.
