About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!

I have a keen interest in dance education, choreography and performing art studies and I work as dance practitioner, theorist and educator as well as producer, manager and journalist. I have presented my productions and lectures in over 30 international festivals and conferences such as the digital performance ‘Alter-egos’, the interactive video installation ‘512:Personas’, the multimedia dance performance ‘Amalgam’ among others. Since 2005, I teach Performance & New Media, Improvisation & Composition, Dance for Camera, Contemporary Dance and Pilates to all age groups in public schools, community centers and private institutions in Denmark, England and Greece. I have also directed the Detour Collective non-profit association, the KINETICS Dance & Visual Art Center (Greece) and produced a weekly television broadcast that promotes art and culture. Awarded with a scholarship from the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation, I previously completed an MA in Performance specialized on interactive new media, choreography, contemporary dance and somatic techniques. While completing this degree, I became familiar with the notions of digital double, digital self, corporeality, embodiment, interactivity, performativity, telepresence and telematics, mixed realities, augmentation, cyberculture and I have been working closely with movement analysis through visual data, qualitative methods, cognition and communication theory. This was particularly represented in my MA thesis that is titled the Digital Double: an investigation of the physical and digital body in interactive digital performance and installation, as well as afterward in my international collaboration ‘ChatRooms’, a telematics performance and performative installation.
