Christina Polychroniadou has been involved in cultural management and organization for several international dance festivals, as well as working closely with Greek contemporary dance companies in the field of communication and P.R.
Her initial studies (B.A and M.A in Dance Studies in the U.K.) have given her the basic knowledge to have an inside into contemporary dance, therefore she has been actively involved in wiring about dance, either as a dance critic (Dance Europe magazine) or as a journalist and dance theorist (HIGHLIGHTS magazine, Real News newspaper, writer for program notes of Kalamata International Dance Festival, invited by ASEF for their yearly Asia-Europe Dance Workshop “Pointe to Point”).
Further studies include European Diploma in Cultural Project Management from Fondation Marcel Hicter (Sweden, Portugal, the Azores, Japan) and MELOPEE cultural management workshop for cultural operators in the Euro- Mediterranean.
In the past 8 years she has been the Greek partner of the Balkan Dance Platform, an international initiative which aims at the promotion of artist from the Balkan area, and in 2007 she hosted the Platform in Greece at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall.
She has also been the originator of full house promotion (www.fullhousepromotion.gr), a non-profit company for the promotion and professional development of Greek contemporary dance through international collaborations, organizing events and workshops and providing administrative and advisory services to young artists and newly established dance companies.
