My name is Crickett Ester! I absolutely love doing what I do, teaching dance and leading a great group of kids (and adults!). I started when I was 5, with my mom. It was something we did together and now 24 years later, I still teach with her. My group is a lot different than a lot of the other dance teams in the area for a few reasons. PowerTap, Blending and clogging in itself is a very unique form of dancing. We do not dance in a traditional & formal dance studio because we don’t fit in there! I am very passionate about everyone of my students both in the classroom and their lives outside. I see being a teacher as an opportunity to have a positive, healthy impact on our next generation and it doesn’t stop at just class nights. I invest a lot into my students and want them to be not just a better dancer, but a more confident person and a person who has had the opportunity to build great friendships and understanding with their other team mates. I believe heavily in instilling strong values to the kids I blessed to work with. I also dance on another team, which I do not teach, called Extreme Dance FX/The Blended Projekt. As EDFX, we've competed all over the US bringing home numerous regional and nation titles and also finalists in America’s Got Talent Season 3. Now The Blended Projekt, featured on MTV's America's Best Dance Crew Season 5 (2010). I believe that it is important to constantly improving myself in order to provide the best material for my students. More personally, I also freelance as an Interior Designer and work at Kitchen Places here in Ventura. I love design and specialize in Kitchen and Bath. I graduated with my BA in 2005 and am loving the field more and more every year. I dance the Dream Center Dance Crew in Los Angeles, but am a proud member of Ventura Vineyard church where I am part of the highschool leadership!
