Daniel Landau is currently living and working in Tel- Aviv. He spends his time producing and developing installation and performance work, teaching and co-raising with his wife Michal O. Landau their two lovely children. Landau completed his second degree in music composition and new media at the Royal Conservatory, The Hague [1999]. He lived and worked for more than a decade in Amsterdam where he co-founded the art collective "BZAZ-Foundation". In this period he produced several full-length music-theater performances receiving critical acclaim from both public and media. Using diverse media in his film and performance work, Landau explores the convergence of documentary and fiction and their interchangeable qualities. His work has been performed by major ensembles and orchestras - among others: The New Ensemble, The Netherlands Philharmonic, Orkest De Volharding, Percussion Group Den Haag & Hamburg Symphony Orchestra; Performing in major festivals and venues worldwide - among others: Suzanne Dellal - Tel Aviv; Israel Museum - Jerusalem; Paradiso, Concertgebouw - Amsterdam; Opéra national de Paris - France; Festival Centro Historico - Mexico City; Sitges International Film Festival - Spain; Bath International Music Festival - England; Bartok Festival - Hungary. His recent production ‘ONE DIMENSIONAL MAN’ – Is a unique theater and film production using projection, body and language.. The performance features an original development of life size characters with projected faces operated by dancers - creating a living movie, where the division between the prerecorded projection and the physical presence of the performers bring a sense of magic and mystery to the stage, creating new ground in mix-media performance work. 25b Mane Street, Tel Aviv / Israel
