Born in Venezuela. Graduated in Theatre by the Escola Superior de Música e das Artes do Espectáculo in 2008. Between 2007 and 2009 participated in different programs developing his skills in the fields of Video Editing, Media Art, Performance Art, Contemporary Dance and Real-Time Composition, working along with names such as Vera Mantero, Jaro Vinarsky and Rafael Alvarez. As a performer he highlights his participation, in 2011, in the Trisha Brown – Early Works exhibit in Serralves (Museum of Contemporary Art, Porto, Portugal) and, in 2012, in John Jesurun’s Stopped Bridge of Dreams presented at LaMaMa ETC (New York, USA). Within his artistic practice develops his work within the fields of Video and Media Art having been selected to be part of the INOVART Program, in 2011, both as an intern and resident artist at CultureHub, Inc (New York, USA). Within these fields he highlights his works MYTHEMS part of the Mediated Motion Exhibit – LaMaMa Moves Festival, IDENTITY PROJECT in 2012 with the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Grant and Unquantifiably Infinite [Unknown] Unknowns in 2013, a transmedia installation activated by its audience, presented at IDEAS CITY FESTIVAL 2013 promoted by the New Museum, both projects developed in partnership with CultureHub, Inc. www.daniel-pinheiro.tumblr.com
