My name is Dawn-Marie Lopez, "Taghrid" I am a dance educator at the University of New Mexico, besides being a choreographer and troupe director. I specialize in Egyptian cabaret and folkloric as well as, Persian popular and traditional dance. My recent works include choregraphing for a zarzuela which was presented at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and produced by Teatro Nuevo Mexico, entitled; "La Corte de Faraon," as well as choreogrpahing for the Albuquerque Museum of Art's exhibition "Temples and Tombs."
