Fernando de Miguel is a swiss musician born in 1971 in Geneva with spanish origins. After his college degree, he follows courses of Philosophy and History of Arts in the Faculty of Arts at Geneva's University. Today he is part of the old school agitators of the underground Geneva's scene in the nineties and two thousands. He has been collaborating with several bands which supported the local scene in those years where the thrill and the dream of independent production where building a future full of mutations. These different projects where influenced by Pop music, Jazz, Funk, the emergence of Hip Hop culture and electronic music as much as the energy of punk rock. He was an original member of bands like The Munch, Buz, Edison, Thöt Bob, Somatic or more recently Imericani and Zwegh. With those different projects he had the opportunity to perform in places like Montreux Jazz festival, Paléo festival, Expo02 and in a great number of clubs and festivals in Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy where they also were invited to be opening for artists such as Keziah Jones, Siouxie and the Banshees, RUN DMC. In 2005, driven by the urge of developing his music technologies skills, he heads to Barcelona to start new studies following the "Master en Artes Digitales" postgrade in Pompeu Fabra University. During this program, he followed electroacoustic music composition classes with professor Gabriel Brncic in addition of workshops and classes of different digital arts as web production, video editing, multimedia installations, interactivity and interfaces. Today, his field of expression includes composition and sound design for Theater and Danse. In collaboration with Caroline2Cornière Company, Compagnie Torriessa and others he presented his work in venues like Théâtre Forum Meyrin, Théâtre de la Parfumerie, Le Galpon, Villa Bernasconi or Théâtre Sévelin 36. ----------------------------- Musicien suisse d’origine espagnole Fernando de Miguel est né en 1971. Après son Baccalauréat Francais Lettres Philosophie il suit des cours à la faculté des lettres de l’Université de Genève en histoire de l’art et en philosophie. Aujourd’hui, son nom se trouve parmi les enfants terribles du rock genevois des années 1990 et 2000. Il a collaboré avec divers groupes qui ont porté la scène locale de ces années où la folie et le rêve de production indépendante construisaient un univers en pleine mutation. Nourri par les influences de la Pop anglaise, du Jazz, du funk, de l’émergence du hip Hop et de l’incandescence du Punk Rock, Fernando de Miguel a participé à la création et à la production de groupes comme : The Munch, Buz, Edison, thöt Bob, Somatic ou encore Imericani et Zwegh. Au sein de ces divers projets, il a eu l’occasion de se produire sur des scènes comme le Montreux Jazz, Paléo festival, Expo02 et dans de nombreux clubs et festivals en France, Espagne, Italie et Suisse en assurant entre autres des premières parties pour des artistes comme Keziah Jones, Siouxie and the Banshees, RUN DMC. En 2005, c’est à Barcelone qu’il reprend des études dans le programme de “Master en Artes Digitales” de L’Université Pompeu Fabra. Au sein de ce post-grade, outre les différent medias numériques comme la production web, le montage vidéo et le développement d’installations multimédia, il a également pu suivre des cours de composition musicale avec le professeur Gabriel Brncic. A présent, son terrain d’expression se trouve dans la composition pour le théâtre et la danse. Il crée des environnements sonores et des musiques originales pour divers spectacles.
