I am a dancer, choreographer and teacher of contemporary dance, composition, improvisation and yoga. I am an avid supporter of dance, process and community. Originally from the Philippines, raised in California I am currently living and working as Professor at Palucca Hochschule fur Tanz Dresden. I have studied and worked in New York City for 23 years; I consider myself a New Yorker. I am a graduate of The Juilliard School and Univ of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where I have been teaching in the MFA program. I have danced in the companies of Michael Clark, Stephen Petronio, Lar Lubovitch and Stanley Love. My company, GERALDCASELDANCE has presented many pieces over the last ten years, three of them full-evening length works presented by Danspace Project, Dance New Amsterdam and Joyce SoHo, collaborating with original music by Robert Poss, Kyle Olson, Matthew Meade and lighting design by Joe Levasseur, Ben Stanton and Simon Cleveland. The dancers are Samuel von Wentz, Na-ye Kim, Toni Melaas, Lindsay Ashmun, Omagbitse Omgabemi, Isadora Wolfe, Meg Madorin, Nicholas Strafaccia, Kai Kleinbard and Paul Singh. Personally, I have been studying Buddhism (Shambhala) and have been influenced by the application of mindfulness in action through my life and work in yoga and dance. I am also a certified practitioner of Thai Yoga Bodywork.
