I am a Dance Artist originally from the West Midlands, UK. I trained at Dartington College of Arts, and Hochschule fur Schausplelkunst “Ernst Busch”. I also spent time studying Kathak (South Asian Classical Dance) at London Contemporary Dance School and in New Delhi with my Guru Malti Shyam. She is fundamentally interested in people; deeply committed to developing an understanding of the social, cultural and physical behaviours and ways of human beings. Listening, Sensing, Learning, Hearing, Touching. My work crosses between mediums and cultures. Work evokes, inspires and questions. Huge emphasis is placed on collaboration and an interdisciplinary process. The work inherently questions the traditional aesthetics and forms that encompass dance. Creating a multifaceted dialogue. Delivering a real-time improvised practice and performance. The work adapts its artistic aim and form of expression according to the needs of each project, and the particular area of research. I have had residencies at Dance Space, Bristol as well as at JAC (The Jersey Arts centre) with Sheri Burt and Company. I am an associate artist with Massive Owl Theatre, a devised Theatre company based in Bristol. I am also one of the founding members of The Interventions Collective- an improvising collective of dancers, musicians and visual artists.
