About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!
I am an actress, performer, choreographer and movement educator. I incorporate different mediums striving for new forms of theatrical experience where mind, feeling and senses are stimulated and activated. In my body- based performances I am developing the notion of the body as a whole. A body, which performs, dances, speaks and sings, so as to express and communicate what is to be human and alive today. I am on an constant exploration of the nature of being human, of being present in time and space, breathing, seeing and touching while at the same time being aware that we are all in this together. I regard performance as a communal transformative experience. I received my BA from The School of Drama of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, during which I studied abroad at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Granada. At 2011 I studied Viewpoints and Suzuki method at the Skidmore College with Ann Bogart and Siti Company. As an actress, performer and choreographer I have collaborated with Greek Festival, National Theatre of Northern Greece, Alternative Stage of National Opera, Municipal and Regional Theatres of Greece. My solo and group performances have been presented at USA (Fellowship for Performance, CHS, Harvard University), UK, Spain and Greece. Alongside with my work in theatre and dance I work as a theatre- movement educator to professional actors. I have an ongoing collaboration with Onassis Cultural Center where I teach viewpoints for children, which is a method of movement improvisation and composition. I have also taught viewpoints to BA students majoring acting and directing at The School of Drama at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
