I'm a PhD student developing who is currently developing a field that connects choreographic practices with scenography. I've been interested in how the choreographic materializes light and sound and am just beginning to understand and think about how the realm of the virtual further develops and shapes space. Having read Johannes Birringer's article After Choreography, I'm thinking about the question, how do the non-human elements within choreographic/scenographic design enhance the physical thinking of dancers/audience? How do they offer new ways of developing kinesthetic intelligence?
