João Martinho Moura (www.jmartinho.org) is an Interactive Media Artist born in Portugal. João Martinho is a software designer in the area of multimedia and information systems. He worked in several projects in fields of education, media, entertainment, telecommunications and health industries, in Portugal, Israel, France and United Kindom. His interests are focused in intelligent interfaces, digital art and music. He holds a graduation diploma in informatics from the University of Minho and and a Master Degree in Technology and Digital Arts from the University of Minho (in course), Portugal. João Martinho is also a musician and a founding member of Ontoêta's project (www.ontoeta.com). João Martinho is a founding member of the YMYI (www.ymyi.org), AQVAE (www.aqvae.org) and GTDV (www.gtdv.org) Digital Art Projects. He recently participated, as a visual artist with the YMYI artefact, in the 2008 International Symposium on Computational Aesthetics in Graphics, Visualization, and Imaging (CAe 2008) (http://www.computational-aesthetics.org). Joao Martinho digital art work has recently included in the curated sellection of the Processing.org platform, from the Aesthetics and Computation Group at the MIT Media Lab (http://processing.org/exhibition/curated_page_new.html). Joao Martinho Moura, in 2009, also presented his work, YMYI, at the OFFF - International Festival for the Post-Digital Creation Culture.
João Martinho Moura is doing research, under his MSc in Technology and Digital Arts, at University of Minho's engageLAB |, in Portugal.
