Earning both a BA in Film/Video and an MFA in Architecture, I have merged my understanding of form, space and motion to create imaginative and compelling Motion Designs. I enjoy developing and evolving concepts, while constantanly imagining all of the exciting possibilities which can emerge within a project. Motion graphics, to me, is a form of magic giving an artist the ability to make miracles happen. I see the two dimensional screen as portal to a living world where there are no limits--forms shift, text can melt and gravity is optional. I use a variety of 2D and 3D software for compositing and animating and I'm always looking for new digital tools to express myself. I have lived in Tampa, FL for over 10 years and recently received my Master's degree in Architeture from the University of South Florida. This experience has expanded my understanding of the interplay of form and space in a profound way. Approaching motion design from an Architectural perspective allows me to perceive video as, not just a two-dimensional window, but an immersion within a world where form, color, light, shadow and sound are specifically choreographed in time and space to tell a story or express an idea. Recenly I have experimented with the liberation of Motion Design from the small screen to large scale projections for ballet and contemporary dance performances. Seeing dancers interact with my creations has been exciting and I look forward to further creative explorations. I am always striving to discover newways to engage the viewer/audience and immerse them within my digital creations.
