About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!

Dancer, yogi, mover. I received my BA in dance from the University of New Mexico in 2003. While in college, I had the opportunity to work with artists such as Bill Evans, Don Halquist, Jennifer Predock Linnell, Vivian Cruz, MaryAnn Santos Newhall, and Hannah Harpole among many other student collaborators. After graduating, I worked with Bill Evans and Company, performing the piece titled "Velorio" in the Bill Evans and Company farewell show in New Mexico. I then relocated to Portland, Oregon. Portland was an amazing city to live in after college, rich in the arts with a strong connected dance community. I worked in promotions and distribution for Luciana Proano, and worked in the office of Conduit Dance, a premier dance venue in Portland under the direction of Mary Oslund and Tere Mathern. In 2005 and 2006 I helped to launch a collaborative dance company called "The Key Turn Project." Working alongside 3 other directors/choreographers, we engaged dozens of dancers, artists, and musicians to cooperate on an evening length performance. It was an exciting adventure in dance, I learned so much! I then moved to San Diego, California. Since living in San Diego I have danced with the Evoke dance performance group, as well as in the Malashock dance student performances in winter 2010, as well as spring 2011. I hope to connect with other dancers and choreographers in San Diego to create some new dance and performance. I would love to work on dance film, and site specific work. I also want to help connect dancers in this sprawling city, to help strengthen the dance community.
