About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!

Luc Vanier first bought a Hi8 camera in the early ‘90s to document and promote his own choreographic work. Years later, while pursuing his MFA at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he transferred his knowledge of taping dances to creating interactive video environments for the stage. His 2003 work Bob's Palace was the first infrared motion capture / live animation piece to be produced for the stage. In Milwaukee, he choreographed “e’s of water,” “Triptych” and last February “Sur_Rendered” for the Milwaukee Ballet. “Runnin’ Out of Fools” is a direct result of his commitment to extend the life of live performance through the use of technology whether it be video, art or blogging. Luc is deeply committed to working across disciplines so that dance and technology can learn from each other. For more information: www.lucvanier.com.
