Lucy Yim is a dance artist based out of Portland, OR. She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and studied at the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies. Her work has been shown at several New York City and Portland venues such as the Time Based Arts Festival (Portland), The Chocolate Factory (NYC), and the Portland Art Museum. Lucy has danced for choreographers Milka Djordjevich, Sally Silvers, Linda Austin, Tahni Holt and Cydney Wilkes. She can be seen in the music video for Onuinu’s “Ice Palace” and has collaborated with Portland’s coveted psychedelic synth band Golden Retriever. Lucy is a teacher of the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®. In Portland she has curated the Alembic Series, co-curates ongoing performance happening RECITAL and organizes Conduit’s improvisation series PLAY.
