The Gilded Serpent is an online resource in magazine format that seeks to become a freely available library of knowledge supported by and for our music and dance community.
With articles ranging from historical research to up-to-the-minute news, reflecting the full spectrum of viewpoints without fear or favor, Gilded Serpent's mission is to become Middle Eastern dance's journal of record.
We have organized Gilded Serpent as an all volunteer organization. Our shared values encourage the tolerance and inclusion of all elements in our community who wish to participate. Together, we can promote our community identity and pride by sharing the resources and ideas, concepts, and history of dance, and the rich music and culture of the Middle East.
The Gilded Serpent is a creative forum for you to express your passions about dance and music. Participate in the creation of these pages, write and submit articles, photos and commentary. We urge you to use the Gilded Serpent to share your experience and research in related subjects knowing that as we do we deepen our community and create new momentum for our continuously emerging journey of discovery. Join us in building this dynamic community by volunteering your talents and resources!
