About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!

I was born in Brazil and am based in Zurich since 1999. My dance background includes ballet, modern, contemporary dance and improvisation. I have a degree in languages and hold a Master of Science in Dance Science from Trinity Laban (UK), which was made possible through a 'Werkstipendium' awarded by the City of Zurich. As a dancer I have worked with Cie. Drift, William Forsythe, Gisela Rocha, Michel Schröder, Massimo Furlan and Corsin Gaudenz, among others. I have extensive teaching experience and have been giving contemporary dance training, ballet and nonlinear training and workshops in Brazil and various European countries. As a choreographer, I have co-produced extensively with Gessnerallee Zürich since 2003 and have had the opportunity to collaborate also with Schauspielhaus and Tanzhaus Zürich, as well as Rote Fabrik. As a dance expert I have been part of various judging panels, including Zürcher Theater Spektakel, Migros Kulturprozent and Scuola e Teatro Dimitri. Among the awards and grants I received are the 'Bolsa Virtuose', Brazilian Ministry of Culture (BR); 'Kulturelle Auszeichnung der Stadt Zürich'; 'Video Documentation Prize', Swiss Dance Archive; 'Werkstipendium der Stadt Zürich'. I am presently a PhD candidate at Centre for Dance Research (C-DaRE) at CoventryUniversity/UK as part of the research project "Research Video" funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation .
