Hailing from Venezuela, Marya comes from a family of artists, dancers, and musicians alike. She grew up dancing in her mothers dance school (Danza Contemporánea de Maracaibo), and at the age of 12 shifted her interests to explore instruments like the guitar and the cello. As gifted as she was, by the age of 15 Marya would find herself performing with the Zulia Regional and Venezuelan Youth Orchestras.
