I am a London based artist and researcher working in performance, video and writing. I recently submitted my practice based PhD thesis to Goldsmiths, University of London exploring Trashy Tendencies in Contemporary Art and Performance Practices. I received an Arts and Humanities Research Council scholarship (2009-12) undertaking research and working with the organisational team of Performance Matters - during which I co-organised (with Augusto Corrieri) a Performing Idea Lab/Forum at A Foundation and Whitechapel Gallery, a Trash Salon at Toynbee Studios, and a two-day public programme on performance research - Potentials of Performance - across White Building, Yard Theatre and ]performance space[. I was co editor (with Joao Florencio) of a special issue of Dance Theatre Journal on trash (2011). I currently teach on a Masters programme The Body in Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. I have presented my work internationally since 2004, and am currently interested in new/unusual contexts and collaborations.
