After graduating in Translation and Interpreting I have worked as a freelance translator, language and dance teacher. I have taught in education and community settings to all ages, particularly providing outreach to young people with additional needs in Italy, Switzerland and UK. Because of my versatile dance background I have delivered different dance styles classes and created the final show of the year. I have been trying to combine foreign languages and movement as a performer. I have attended several workshops on movement and voice, discovering the importance of sound throughout dance and improvisation sessions with other artists like actors, musicians and visual artists. In 2011 I participated at a one month dance project in India led by the choreographer G. Summo, focusing on site-specific work, contact improvisation, contemporary and khatakali dance. In October 2013 I received a bursary to attend “The Speaking Dancer: interdisciplinary performance training” led by J. Lansley in London. In November I finished an online University course on site-specific performances for which I have created a draft of a project I am aiming at developing. I attended a theatre performance course at a drama school in London because I am interested to enhance my theatre dance skills further. At the moment I am collaborating with an architect to create our visual art work.
