    Patricia Apergi was born in Athens, in 1979. After graduating from the Kapodistrian University of Athens in theatrical studies and Niki Kontaxaki Dance School, she continued her studies at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France, studying contemporary dance and theatre. She then studied in London where she obtained an MA in choreography with Performing Arts, Middlesex University. She participated in many dance and theatre workshops. As a choreographer she has presented the works: dόπα (dopamines of post Athenians) (M.Kakoyannis Foundation, Athens, 2009, 14 biennalle of young artists, Opera Skopje, 2009) Apolost (Cairo Opera Haouse, Alexandria Opera Haouse, Egypte, 2009, Xora Theatre, Athens, 2008), Ferry-Tales (Sikinos Theatre, 2009, Folegandros Theatre, 2009), Anorexia Socialis (Theatredance festival, Milos Theatre, Larisa,2008, 4th Dance Balkan platform, Megaron, Athens 2007, Sxedia Theatre, Athens, 2007), Ellen West (Argo Theatre, Athens,2006), Marathon of the Olympic Flame (Ithaca, 2004), Fragments, dancing identity as image (Lakeview Theatre, London, 2003), Re-possess (Lakeview Theatre, London, 2002). She is Director of Cultural Events and teaches dance and theatre at the Leonteios School, Athens. She is a co-writer of the book ‘History of theatre and theatrical education’ (Ministry of Education,2007) and she is a member of the international centre of emerging artists (IFEA, 2008) of London. At this moment she is an artist in residence at Tanzquartier Wien.
