Founded in 2007 by Priscilla Guy, Mandoline Hybride offers poetic works in which each artistic discipline overlaps and feeds the other. From multidisciplinary projects to videodance to performances in public spaces, the company’s repertory has been presented in numerous cities across Quebec and Ontario, as well as Brazil, Spain, Uruguay, the United States and France. Priscilla Guy creates singular projects that reflect her desire to blur the boundaries between artistic disciplines and tell stories in a poetic and fluid manner. Originally from Sherbrooke, Priscilla has a Bachelor’s Degree in visual arts from Concordia University and a Master’s Degree in Dance from York University in Toronto. She likes to question the figure of the artist in the urban landscape, as well as the artist’s raison d’être on both a social and poetic level. Her works bring together evocative imagery with a kinesthesia that draws from the visual arts and performance to create pieces with a polished aesthetic feel. Priscilla also devotes herself to theoretical research into dance, notably through Regards Hybrides, an extension of Mandoline Hydbride that is dedicated to videodance.
