About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!
I am a dancer, choreographer, Reiki Master Teacher and a bodywork practitioner I was born and raised in Kazan, Russia where I was was a member of the Kazan Dance Ansambl's Junior Company and award winning Sombel Dance Ensemble. I have performed for thousands of audiences as a part of the federal holiday celebration programs and both national and international folk dance festivals. I moved to the US in 2011 to continue my dance education and received my BFA in Contemporary Dance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where I studied Cunningham, Limon, Trisha Brown, QiGong, bodywork techniques, ballet, and movement composition. While in North Carolina I joined the International Human Rights Consortium founded by Wilda Spalding, social activist and educator, who recruited Roza to attend the United Nations Commissions on the Status of Women (CSW) Forum in the spring of 2017. CSW inspired USA: United Stories of America, a multi-disciplinary evening length performance, that I produced and choreographed with support from the Center for Design Innovation in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This experience became a catalyst for my mission to use dance and movement to unite communities. Fast forward to March 2020 in NYC and MOVEMENT IS Workshop + Performance, bringing the arts, business, and non-profit sectors into the same room celebrating physical movement aligned with the social movement of the UN CSW 2020. It reminded us all of the fundamental human need to connect with one another, and proved that movement is the best way to do it. That project planted the seed for WE TAKE FIVE.
