I'm a 35 year old Dutch girl, you know: blond hair, green eyes, born and raised in Holland. But my heart was born some place else, somewhere in the East. Maybe it was in Turkey, since my love for Turkey is so big. I've lost my soul into Oriental dancing, for me dancing is life or life is dancing. Oriental- or belly dancing makes me smile, gives me energy, strength and health. I studied eastern languages and cultures at the university. Oriental dance isn't only about shaking your hips and making isolations and nice snake-arms, it's also a lot about history and culture. Besides my study at the university I studied anatomy, physiology and different ways of moving your body on music, oriental or not. I took classes with Medea Mahdavi (Iran / Persian dance), Diana (Egypt), Kaouthar Darmoni (Tunesia), Jillina (US / Bellydance Superstar), Yonina, Rachel Brice (the Indigo / Bellydance Superstar), Carolena Nericcio (US / Fat Change Bellydance), Wendy Allen (US / Fat Change Bellydance), Paulette Rees-Denis (US / Gypsy Caravan), Shahrazad (Germany / different kinds of Indian dance), Nesrin Topkapi (Turkey), Ahmet Ogren (Turkey) and many more. I started teaching 14 years ago, and now I own a dancing school for Oriental- and Indian dances in Holland. Hundreds of kids and women visit my daily classes and monthly workshops or join my Oriental Dance Trips to Turkey. I also perform at all kinds of festivals and parties, organize 1001-night arrangements and do workshops for kids-parties, bachelor-parties and other parties. I want to thank my students and my teachers for the inspiration they give me.
