Sonja Augart, native German, works as an independent artist, choreographer, performer and curator (Incubate Festival Tilburg and Theater Frascati Amsterdam). She studied at the Codarts Rotterdam and at the Fontys Dance academy in Tilburg (NL). After finishing her studies in 1998 she made different works, which contained side-specific work (for example: on the roof of a parking garage or in shopping-malls), choreography for theatre and also time-related performances. Except in her own work, Sonja Augart performs and performed for Jerôme Bél, Tim Etchells (Forced Entertainment), Fréderic Flamand, and many others. In 2003 she established FRAGMENTA, an association for the support/ production of dance related projects.
