Born in Lisbon, before graduating from the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Amsterdam, I studied in Lisbon at the Escola Superior de Dança, in Paris at the Menagerrie de Verre and Centre de Danse du Marais and in Arnhem at the European Danse Development Centre. In 2001 co-founded Densemble/contemporary dance, for which I have been choreographing until now. Densemble has been performing in Portugal, Spain, London and The Netherlands, as well as developing several community dance projects. My work has also been commissioned by the Theaterschool in Amsterdam. In 2008, I received the 1st Prize in choreography in the International Choreography Contest of Burgos-NY 2008 with the piece "Finding Anna".
