In 1990 she graduated as a professional dancer concluding an eight year program consisting of the Russian ballet methodology, modern dance (Graham and Limon techniques), acting lessons and various workshops including one of voice training with Daniel Prieto from the Roy Hart Theatre. She has danced as a soloist with important independent modern dance companies in Mexico and abroad, such as: Cuerpo Mutable, Teatro del Cuerpo, U.X, Onodanza, Betty Jones´s Dances we Dance and Ballet Hawaii among others. She has performed in the most prestigious theatres in her country and has participated in important international festival such as "Festival Internacional Cervantino" and many others in Mexico. Her international experiences include Hawaii, Saipan, Costa Rica, Ireland, Japan, France and USA. She has worked with important Mexican and American choreographers who have created their work on her like Raúl Parrao, Thom Pazik, Eve Walstrum, Betty Jones, Farahilda Sevilla, and Oscar Ruvalcaba. Her career as a dancer includes experiences in Musicals (Sweet Charity) and theatre ("How to be a good yedeshe Mome", "The little Prince", "Gulp", and "The two Camellias") In 1998 she began her career as director-choreographer, with her dance monologue "Tarde en Mogador" (Afternoon at Mogador), based on the novel, "Los nombres del Aire" (The names of the air) by Alberto Ruy Sánchez. This show was nominated for best Solo in 1998 at the Somec-Vitars awards and was considered as one of the best shows of the year by "Vice Versa" magazine. It was restaged in 2010 presenting it in Mexico, Japan and France. Some of her most representative work is: her children's show "Buscando el Camino me encontré...o la dulce Nina" 2000(Looking for the pathway I found...or sweet Nina). This show was restaged and performed during 2006 by AlSurDanza Yucatan's State Contemporary Dance company; “La mirada de Ulises”2008 (Ulysses gaze) y collaboration and co direction with composer Sebastian Castagna, “Historias inasibles” 2012 (Elusive stories), “Arbolada” 2013 (Arboreal) in collaboration with poet Aurelio Asiain. She believes in experimentation and collaboration as the most solid ways to create, which is the reason why she approaches composers, visual artists, poets and writers, in order to produce pieces together. Tatiana works using the two elements that constitute her background; Dance and Theatre. Centering her work in a personal, honest and rigorous search, in which each movement conveys the meaning and expression of her questioning. She has received many grants in recognition of her work, such as been a member of the National System of Artists FONCA 2010-2013 (Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte del FONCA), Pecda 2009/2014 (State grant for artists with a long artistic path) among others. She recently introduced herself into videodance making, and her video dance “Nadie” (Nobody), 2014, was presented at the Screen Dance Festival in Sweden this spring and will be presented in India’s The Dance Bridge Festival in Kolkata. She is one of few dancers in Mexico to teach Creative Movement in schools, having developed her own method, which she shares by giving workshops to teachers of any discipline who want to learn this fantastic tool.
