Teri Carter weaves an array of practices in her work, specializing in Somatic Movement and Performance. For 30 years Teri has taught, performed, choreographed and researched Movement and Healing Arts internationally. She’s had the fortune of working with leading world pioneers of movement discovery and health. She brings with her these certifications: Authorized Continuum Movement Teacher, Practitioner of Body-Mind Centering® which is a four year training in Somatic Movement and Hands-on Therapy, Registered Somatic Movement Educator/Therapist, Certified Chi Gung and Tai Chi Instructor, and Certified Life Coach. Teri has taught Contact Improvisation for 24 years, she’s worked and performed with several Post Modern Dance pioneers and Teri holds a B.F.A. and Masters in Dance. She founded L.A.’s Intention Dance Theatre and SOMA Fest, and she has received various grants and fellowships for her choreography/projects. She is a teaching assistant in Cranial Sacral Therapy at the Upledger Institute. She maintains a private practice in Los Angeles where she works with individuals in Somatic Movement Integration and hands-on therapies of Cranial Sacral, MyoFascial Release, Visceral Manipulation, Body-Mind Centering and Scalar Energetics.
