The Uncollective is Eve Stainton and Michael Kitchin with associate artist Sorcha Stott-Strzala. Their work inhabits a space between dance, choreography, live art and queerness. Their practice is driven by exploring collaborative methods in order to challenge the expectations of performance. The Uncollective aim to develop a space where politics can engage with and provoke discussion around curation, instinct, aesthetics and desire. The Uncollective's work has been presented at: The Place, Yorkshire Dance, Royal Academy of Arts, Tangente Danse, Chisenhale Dance Space, Paris Fashion Week, Tripspace, RichMix, Guest Projects, Lake Studios Berlin, Greenwich Dance, Adelaide Fringe (Best Dance Commendation), Brighton Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, Hackney WickED, and other venues in Montreal, Canada. They have created through residencies at Yorkshire Dance, Guest Projects and Lake Studios Berlin.
