We are still busy investigating cities and environments from within, aside, above, below. We still enjoy to have questions as answers and have still strange animals involved in our performances. We are still surprised by daily routines and continue to be attracted by the invisible and its complex simplicity. Anything that would surprise us could be in you pocket right now. we love to talk to people. Many we meet in the streets, some in shops and some in books. It is exciting to be alive! hello!earth understands the performative space as a landscape of unknown factors, with the audience in as cocreator. The base of the work is an inquiry into consciousness and an exploration of the myth of reality The works are often places/spaces for an audience to experience, sense and do, rather than to sit and see. hello!earth works take form as site-specific, participatory art, performances in urban space and nature, theatre and movement-based performances for the stage, installations, and hybrids of these. The projects often unfold as longterm works, with different phases of research and performance. hello!earth’s activity includes a number of international collaborations and works have been shaped by the dialogue and immersion into different cultural contexts and places; Brazil, the Middle East, India and Europe. Artistic directors: Vera Maeder (background in dance and theatre) and Jacob Langaa-Sennek (background in visual design and sound)
