My name is Zikou Tonia and I was born in Athens, in 1986. I graduated from the Higher school of Dance ''Morianova – Trasta'',in 2010(Athens). Since then I focused on contemporary dance and improvisation as a choreographer, dancer and dance teacher. Recently as a choreographer I presented a work based on my research on how using the limits rather than avoid them can broaden our movement vocabulary and finally, set us free. With the same thoughts I wanted to extend my research, so I had an official participation as a choreographer and solo performer,with the work in progress « Create Limits», in the Residency Program, May 2013- August 2013, in Derida Dance Center, in Sofia. At the moment, I am working on a new project about the relationship between music and dance.
