I am a New York City based video artist, choreographer, dancer and musician. My performances and installations create the experience of travel and a sense of wonder in the unknown and address questions of internationalism, personal identity and the how we as humans can be agents of social and political change. I also create video works and sculptural installations. I am interested in expanding who gets to participate in art-making and want to engage audience members in a sense of wonder, questioning and creativity about their everyday lives. To this end, I rehearse, install and perform in public spaces such as train and subway stations, parks and storefront windows. Based in New York since 1999, I make work nationally and internationally. I graduated from Brown University in 1998 with a BA in Educational Studies, focusing on art and social change.
