Master (2000) and Ph.D. (2003) in Communication and Semiotics at PUC / São Paulo. Post Doctorate at Sonic Arts Research Centre (UK) with project “Dramaturgies of Tele-Sonorous Body”. Professor of the Humanities Institute of Arts and Sciences Prof. Milton Santos and the Graduate Program in Dance and Theater (University of Bahia). Leader of the Research GroupTechnological Poetics Director of the MAPA D2 platform . Since the 90′s research the relationship between dance and new technologies. Author of books: Open Body: Cunningham, Dance and New Technologies (SP: Fapesp / Educ, 2002) and Dance in Digital Culture (BA: Fapesb / Edufba, 2006), also several articles published in national and international journals such as Nouvelles de Danse (Belgium), International Journal of Performance Arts and Digital Media (UK) and Culture and Globalization (USA). In 2006, was awarded the Monaco Dance Forum with the “UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of the Arts – New Technologies” and an Artist Residency at the renowned National Centre choregraphique – Pavillon Noir in Aix-en-Provance, France, where he conceived “Le Moi , Le Crystal and L ‘Eau “. She is a researcher with CNPq Research Productivity. Since 2005, conducts research in dance telematics (Networked Performance), being responsible for creating the first work using the advanced academic telecommunication networks in Brazil.
