geboren in de late zomer van 1971 in Den Haag. Vanaf zijn tiende opgeleid bij het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag en studeerde af in 1989. Zijn dans carriere begon bij het Scapino Ballet Rotterdam (onder leiding van Nils Christe en later Ed Wubbe) waar hij zes jaar heeft gedanst in diverse creaties, in 1996 liet hij zijn blik vallen op het buitenland en danste in chronologische volgorde bij Opera Nationale de Lyon directed by Yougos Loukos waar hij werkte met gerenommeerde choreografen zoals William Forsythe, Jiri kylian, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin. Vervolgens bij Ballet Preljocaj (directed by Angelin Preljocaj) , Russell Maliphant Company in London waar hij een diversiteit ontdekte aan bewegingsstijlen en technieken zoals contact improvisation, yoga, capoeira, tai chi, acrobatiek.
