Aztec, rehearsal, Poppin

This is a rehearsal for my short film, Mujer Maiz, "la hija del quinto sol" (daughter of the 5th sun) 2008.The dancers are PANDORA, POPPIN AK, LUX. The dancers and I looked at Aztec hieroglyph poses and incorporated that into the choreography. The dance style that these ladies are famous for is Poppin'. Poppin is a street dance form that originated from the West Coast. These ladies are amazing!
