Nora Chipaumire

Chipaumire began her collaborative project with Zimbawean musician Thomas Mapfumo and musicians from the Blacks Unlimited ( Lancelot Kashesha, Chakaipa Mhembere, and Gilbert Zvamaida). Involving FSU students and faculty from various Departments in her process of garnering research, Chipaumire gathered significant information on African-related topics about the migrant body, the ancestoral body, Zimbabwean inflation, and gender/self identity to fuel her choreographic process.
