tx-transform is a filmic representation where the time axis [t] and the spatial axis [x] are inverted and exchanged. Normally, a single film image shows the entire shooting space for a short moment. With »tx-transformed« sequences, the process is vice-versa: Each phase of the film shows the whole shooting time, but in only a small portion of the frame space. The image´s left margin shows what has happened at the start of the shooting and the right margin shows what has happened at the end. With this transversal view of the shooting direction, the actual filmed movement gains a completely new significance and meaning: In between the right and left margin, lies a strange world where the physics of the real world seem to be suspended and invalidated. This video was part of the "Future Cinema" exhibition at ZKM, curated by Jeffrey Shaw and Peter Weibel.http://www.zkm.de/futurecinema/reinhart_werk_e.htmlFor more information about tx-transform: www.tx-transform.com
