In anticipation for the Avatar* performances in Colchester and Luton, we had a video conference with Roman Torre, the digital artist of Erre que Erre, about the piece, how it was formed, the technical details and challenges. From his living room in Barcelona, he gave us an idea about the long investigation they carried out, roughly from December 2008, until the final completion of the piece. After almost two years of rehearsals and research (which can all be found in their blog http://avatarsolo.blogspot.com/), Avatar will be touring after the UK, in Holland, Spain and Latin America.
