Interactive installationby Martina Menegon, Stefano D’Alessio2011Untitled Traces #1 is part of a installations/performances series, in which is investigated the transformation of the real body’s representation in digital terms. The aim of this project is to create an interactive dialogue between a real body and its digital self, where the movement of the real self is computerized and transformed into 3D traces and electronic sounds.A camera is tracking the real space and bodies, transforming the incoming datas into 3D coordinates of a mesh that became the digital representation of what the camera sees, and also generate electronical sound representation of it. The displacement of this 3D bodies and of those electronic sounds change through the movement amount of the real bodies. Also, the images of the digitalized bodies leave traces in the space creating patterns of drawings, all digital result of the real.
