This is a recording of the premiere of "wror" at Mica Moca Project Berlin http://www.micamoca.com"wror" is an attempt to describe the sound you hear and feel, when you have high pressure on your ears. And an attempt to describe the way you see, when your eyes are unable to focus. It is a tautological attempt to define a state of being in between. Being stuffed in the border between outside and inside. The wideness of the compressed perception leaves you feeling numb and deluded. Our main interest during the development of wror is to investigate a state, which is endless in many ways. We want to find out if and how long one can linger in a place of vagueness. A state, which habitually is passed by or ignored; a state one usually wants to get out of. Sleepiness and fear.PREMIERE21h, june 16 2011 / Mica Moca Project BerlinAND OTHER PERFORMANCESjune 17 / Mica Moca Project Berlinjune 25 / Open Dans Festival 2011, Rotterdam NLQUESTIONS & BOOKINGwelk.miriam@googelmail.comDance: Miriam WelkMusic: Andreas SteffenProjection: Shuah BrothertonCostume: Sigrid RotzlerCamera: André Sicuro, Nat Fowler
