Set to play Friday, January 9 and Saturday, January 10 at Japan Society (333 East 47th Street), this much-anticipated annual event returns with cutting edge work and performances. This year’s showcase features butoh great Ko Murobushi with a world premiere for his company of three male dancers Ko & Edge Co., chelfitsch Theater Company in its U.S. debut, Yoko Higoshino in a solo performance with live music by Toshio Kajiwara, Korea’s Jang Eun Jung Dance Company and Taiwan’s Wind Dance Theatre, representing a wide range of emerging talent and artistic styles.The 12 Annual Contemporary Dance Showcase plays Friday, January 9 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, January 10 at 5:00 & 8:00 PM. Japan Society is located at 333 East 47th Street between First & Second Avenues. Tickets are $28 (general public) and $25 (Japan Society members).
