60secondsdance.dk  COMPETITION 2014 NOW OPEN!

60secondsdance.dk online screendance competition is a co-production of Dansens Dag and ScreenMoves, Copenhagen, Denmark. Hosted on www.60secondsdance.dk and funded by Dansens Dag and Nordea-fonden, it aims to give screendance makers the opportunity to produce, through their lens, a one-minute online screendance video.

The winner and runner up and the top ten outstanding videos, will have their work screened at the prize-winning event at Cinemateque - Danish Film Institute and the DFI’s Asta Bar Wall Screen. The videos will also be online at: Dansens Dag website, 60secondsdance.dk YouTube Channel, ScreenMoves Facebook page and the ScreenMoves Installation site in the Dansehallerne Foyer. Jeannette Ginslov, associate producer of www.dance-tech.net will interview the winner and runner up via skype, for MoveStream, an online channel dedicated to screendance interviews.

For 2014, the theme is based on the notion of “flow” Screendance makers are invited to choreograph, shoot and edit what “flow” means to them: what is flow, where is it found, what it means in terms of pace, rhythm, timing, is it comedic, serious, philosophical, how is it portrayed in movement, the emotional, the physical, the body…
