The Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company closes out its 50th Anniversary Season accelerating forward with a dynamic integration of media and performance between New York-based choreographer Doug Varone and University of Utah professor Ellen Bromberg. Ellen is an award-winning choreographer, filmmaker, media designer and the Founding Director of the International Screendance Festival. Doug is a multi-award winning choreographer and Artistic Director of Doug Varone and Dancers. Doug has lent his cersatile talents to the Metropolitan Opera, Broadway productions and even film. We will also premiere a work by Sweden-based, Ririe-Woodbury alumnus Miguel Azcue, Artistic Director of Memory Wax dance and theatre company. His work focuses on the miracle of life and its constant change between chaos and order. Finally, we step confidently into our next 50 years with a world premier by Ririe-Woodbury Artistic Director, Daniel Charon.
